ANNOUNCMENT: We are doing a test run! Please give us suggestions or feedbacks by contacting us! // Sign ups are open as well!
The Peer-to-Peer Tutoring Club matches senior students who excel in specific subjects with other students needing academic assistance. Our goal is to create a supportive environment where everyone can succeed.
Any student who wants to receive tutoring or help others as a tutor is welcome to join. Tutors can be anyone with a strong background and are committed to teaching and any student that believes they need support can join.
The club was established to foster a collaborative learning environment where students can support each other academically, build confidence, and strengthen their understanding of challenging subjects.
We match tutors and tutees based on their subject preferences, strengths, and availability to ensure the best possible fit for productive and effective sessions.
You can fill out our sign-up form linked on the club website (or here), specifying the subject(s) you need help with. We'll match you with a tutor based on your preferences and availability as soon as possible!
We offer help in a wide range of subjects, including math, science, languages etc... If you don’t see your subject listed, let us know through the "Contact Us" page, and we’ll add it on.
Sessions typically last between 30 minutes to an hour, but the exact length can be agreed upon between the tutor and tutee.
Bring any relevant materials, such as textbooks, assignments, or questions you want to focus on. We will also provide you resources as well. The more prepared you are, the more you’ll get out of the session.
Fill out the tutor application form on our website (or here). We’ll ask about your academic strengths, availability, and any previous tutoring experience.
**EVERYTHING YOU PUT IN THE FORM ARE CONFIDENTIAL**
You should be confident in the subjects you want to tutor, maintain good academic standing, and have a genuine desire to help others. No formal teaching experience is required.
Not necessarily. Tutees will usually bring their own materials, and we also provide you resources as well but you can bring additional resources, like practice problems or study guides, if you think they’ll be helpful.
As a tutor, you’re not alone! Our club leaders can provide resources, tips, and guidance to help you feel confident in your sessions. You can also reach out to us if you have any concerns or need advice.
We use a flexible scheduling system. Once matched, tutors and tutees can decide together on a time that works best for both of them.
Sessions can be held in designated areas at school, such as the library or study rooms and some other places, we'll notify you!
Please inform your tutor or tutee as soon as possible, preferably 24 hours in advance. We encourage rescheduling missed sessions to maintain consistent progress.
Yes, sessions are flexible! Tutors and tutees can work together to find times that suit both of their schedules, even if changes are needed later on. Just communicate any adjustments in advance.
Let us know through the feedback form or contact us directly. We’ll work to find a better match for you as soon as possible.
You can also personally reach out to us at the "Contact Us" page
Yes! If you’re strong in one subject but need help in another, you can sign up to be both a tutor and a tutee.
We value and take in your suggestions and feedback! You can use the feedback form on our website or speak to one of the club leaders directly.
That’s completely okay! Learning and teaching are both processes. If you’re struggling, feel free to ask for guidance from club leaders or discuss the issue with your tutor or tutee. We’re here to help you succeed.
